Midway Dairy is milking to it’s full capabilities as the final six GEA Monoboxes became operational. All 18 robots are working together to give cows the best milking experience possible. The cows are fed grain while the entire milking process is done within the protective teat cup.

The Automated Dairy installation team began installing the final six GEA Monoboxes at Midway Dairy. The goal is to have the final phase of the project operational in the beginning of April. Once Phase 3 is fired up all 18 Monoboxes will be milking cows in this state-of-the-art facility.

November 28, 2018

The first 12 Monoboxes have been operational for nearly two months. David Gerratt, Midway Dairy owner, says his cows have been adjusting well to their new home and the transition to the Monobox Milking System went smoothly. Phase three of the project is expected to begin in early 2019.

October 23, 2018

Phase two of the Midway Dairy Monobox is now operational. Six more boxes were fired up to bring the total to 12 Monoboxes milking about 350 cows.

Phase three, last six Monoboxes, is expected to be operational early 2019.

After months of hard work from everyone involved the first six GEA Monoboxes were fired up at 6:15 AM and the first cows were milked.

We want to congratulate David Gerratt on firing up phase one of the project and for choosing us to install the Monoboxes.

Phase two of the project, six more boxes, will become operational soon.

September 15, 2018

The first six GEA Farming Monoboxes will be fired up in a little over a week. Our welder has been hard at work putting the finishing touches on all the stainless-steel piping. His work will help the milk go from the Monoboxes to you, the consumer.

The Automated Dairy Install team began phase two of the Monobox installation. Six more robots were set in their place, bringing the total up to 12.

June 20, 2018

Automated Dairy reached a milestone by setting the first six GEA Monoboxes in their place. The next phase of the project will be getting all the necessary connections and installations made before starting up the robots. Once the first six monoboxes are operational the Automated Dairy install crew will begin installing the next group of robots.

The first set of GEA Monobox robots have arrived at the Automated Dairy shop. Our installation crew continues to work with the contractor at Midway Dairy to get this state-of-the-art facility built. Much of the outside of the building has been built and piping is being run on the inside.

Construction crews have begun moving dirt at Midway Dairy on their new robotics barn. Soon Automated Dairy will install 18 GEA FarmingMonobox Automated Milking Systems. The first six are expected to be operational by July 2018!
