Parlor Throughput

What is it?

The purpose of this add-on is to provide real-time and historical parlor performance data. The data is used to identify and monitor the following:

  • Load time
  • Exit time
  • Milking time
  • Cow per hour
  • Turns per hour

How does it work?

The data is captured one of two ways. Either by linking an existing TURBOSPRAY system to DairyLink or installing sensors in the parlor. The system uses these sensors to track cow rates and stall exits. The data is accessible via the on-farm HMI screen or remotely through the DairyLink app.

Pen Production Data

What is it?

Pen Production is a DairyLink option that allows users to capture valuable milk production data in user defined groups. This data will show current pen milk production, last milking’s production, rolling 10-day average, and monthly average production.

How does it work?

The pen production feature utilizes an inline flow meter to measure milk flow and position sensors in the parlor to determine groups and differentiate pens.

On-Farm Blending

What is it?

On-farm blending is an add on feature to DairyLink for chemical blending and changing chemical ratios on-farm.

How does it work?

Our blender is designed as a micro process plant for fresh and accurate chemical usage. The system allows you to safely blend peroxide, chlorine dioxide and iodine at your facility. It utilizes a safe and effective design to allow for peace of mind when blending dips. The system has built in alerting and remotely connects to our service department and chemical personnel.

Automatic Crowd Gate

What is it?

The automatic crowd gate add-on feature of DairyLink is designed to improve the following:

  • Increase throughput
  • Reduce labor
  • Proved consistent loading atmosphere for cows

How does it work?

The automatic crowd gate feature is designed to control existing or new gates. The system utilizes a front and back sensor in the holding pen and an entry gate sensor along with pneumatic or electric controls. Once the gate is in the down and ready position, the crowd gate is automatically controlled through DairyLink and advances in short pulses for cow safety.

Automatic Fan Control

What is it?

Rather than maintain and support a standalone fan system, this DaiyLink add-on can control fans and lighting which allows users a one-stop location to adjust and monitor these controls.

How does it work?

Fan and lighting control is another feature that can be implemented on new or existing fan and/or lights. A DairyLink remote connection panel is installed at a central control point and tied into the main system.

Pipe Wash

What is it?

The pipe wash process is a tested and proven staple of Automated’s previous systems and is another add-on of DairyLink. It allows users the ability to adjust settings to optimize the wash sequence for nearly any barn.

How does it work?

The pipe wash function of DairyLink is designed to automatically wash the barn pipeline with a combination of PLC controls, pneumatically controlled valves, and in-line sensors.

Tank Wash

What is it?

Much like the pipe wash function, the tank wash feature is designed to CIP milk tanks.

How does it work?

The tank wash uses safety prox sensors to ensure that the milk will not be unintentionally mixed with wash process and the system can CIP safely and effectively. All settings such as wash times, chemical injections, and drain times are adjustable for barn requirements.

Automatic Flush Control

What is it?

DairyLink flush control allows users to optimize and customize parlor flush systems including deck flush, holding pen flush, and alley way flush controls.

How does it work?

Flush controls are installed on associated pumps and water valves to perform the flushing process at user defined intervals.

TURBOSPRAY

What is it?

TURBOSPRAY can either be a standalone system or tied into the overall DairyLink. TURBOSPRAY is an automatic walkover teat sprayer for both pre and post dip applications.

How does it work?

TURBOSPRAY utilizes a patented design of air to chemical blend to apply teat dip on cows as they enter or exit the milk parlor. Seven sensors are used to track the cow’s movement through the system to accurately spray the udders of the anima. This provides a consistent and reliable application process.

Automatic Fly Spray

What is it?

The automatic fly spray system can either be a standalone system or tied into DairyLink or TURBOSPRAY. It is used to mitigate fly populations inside the parlor and on the cow. The system sprays the back of the animal as she passes through the sensors.

How does it work?

The system is designed to track the cow’s movement using the same accurate technology used in the TURBOSPRAY. Cows are treated as they enter or exit the milking parlor, once or twice a week depending on barn conditions and time of the year. Spray schedules and control can be monitored and adjusted through the DairyLink interface.

Motor Monitoring

What is it?

Many of the motors on-farm are critical to the dairy operation and the milking process, so DairyLink offers a solution to monitor and maintain those critical pieces of equipment. The system allows users to collect data on a motors performance and diagnose failure issues ahead of time to avoid costly downtime.

How does it work?

The add-on works by installing a senor on the electrical wirings of the motor(s) and it reads the amperage. That data is stored on the cloud and when there is an amperage spike or amps become higher than normal, indicating motor or barring failure, custom alerts can be programed into the system.

Well Control

What is it?

Water conservation and control can be achieved with this DairyLink add-on. Our system provides monitoring to water storage levels and maintains designated levels in tanks.

How does it work?

Using a combination of tank level sensors, water valves, well pumps, and PLC controls the well control system provides users the ability to automatically control on-farm storage and control for livestock and parlor use.
